Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SideKick ("SideKick", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use sidekick.finance, related subdomains, and tools we operate (including social publishing tooling) (together, the "Services").

1. Who we are

SideKick operates an AI-native product studio website and related products/tools. For privacy questions, contact contact@sidekick.finance.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories:

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, messages you send us, and similar details you provide
  • Usage and device data: IP address, browser/user agent, pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location derived from IP, and diagnostic logs
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used for essential site function, preferences, and analytics
  • Payment information: if you purchase services, payment details are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers
  • User content: files, captions, media, schedules, and other content you upload or generate in the Services
  • Social account data: if you connect a third-party platform (such as TikTok), we receive tokens and profile/account information needed to provide the integration

3. TikTok and other social platforms

When you connect TikTok (or another social platform) to a SideKick-operated tool, we may receive and process OAuth tokens and account identifiers; basic profile information made available by the platform (such as username, display name, avatar, and account IDs); permissions/scopes you grant (for example publishing or upload-related scopes); content and metadata you choose to publish or schedule; and delivery/status information returned by the platform for posts you initiate.

We use TikTok (and other platform) data only to provide the features you request - connecting your account, preparing media, scheduling/publishing content, and showing post status - and to secure and troubleshoot those features. We do not sell TikTok user data, and we do not use TikTok API data to independently target, retarget, or build advertising profiles unrelated to providing the Services you requested.

You can disconnect a social account at any time in the tool or by contacting us. Disconnecting may not delete historical publish logs we retain for security, support, or legal compliance.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services
  • Authenticate you and maintain connected social accounts at your direction
  • Schedule, upload, and publish content you request to third-party platforms
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about the Services
  • Monitor abuse, debug issues, and protect against fraud or security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us host, store, authenticate, analyze, or operate the Services (for example cloud hosting, databases, object storage, email, and error monitoring), under contractual confidentiality/security obligations
  • Third-party social platforms you choose to connect (for example TikTok) when you instruct us to authenticate or publish
  • Professional advisors and authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • A buyer or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to this Policy's protections

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Connected-account tokens are retained while the connection remains active and for a limited period afterward for security and auditing. You may request deletion as described below.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email contact@sidekick.finance. You may disconnect social accounts from within the applicable tool (or by contacting us). You can also manage cookies through browser settings.

If you are in the EEA/UK, our legal bases for processing typically include contract performance, legitimate interests (security, improvement, communications), consent where required, and legal obligations.

9. International transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.

10. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on this page and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice when appropriate.
